what’s composition?
Composition is the thoughtful arrangement of elements in an image. It’s an essential factor of visual storytelling and can communicate impactful narratives even before you layer in sound and dialogue.
what does “reframed” mean?
Reframing is looking at something in a new, different way. We have non-traditional, composition-centric approach to film education that teaches filmmakers practical image-making insights they won’t find anywhere else.
who are these courses for?
Anyone! We teach aspiring film students and experienced industry professionals. Our unique observations and clarity of instruction allow for deep learning at any experience level.
how is film reframed different from traditional film school?
We’re working industry professionals who stay curious. Our mission is to teach the information we wish someone had told us sooner, and investigate the questions traditional educators fail to ask.
where should I start?
We recommend starting with our Essentials course. Even if you’re an old pro, you’ll learn the principles in a whole new way.
That being said, all of our classes are both deep and accessible. So if something else intrigues you, go for it! Trust your instincts!
i’m interested in a course, but I can’t attend the live lecture.
what should I do?
No worries! Just register as you normally would. We encourage you to attend the live webinar, but we don’t want you to miss a last minute gig, so you’ll always get a recording that’s available to watch for 48 hours after air.
(it’s ok if you use it to sleep in, too.)
